This Carpenters release commemorated our 20th year with A&M Records. It too, consists of recordings from a number of periods. Four are from Karen’s solo album of 1979/80:  If We Try, When Lovin’ Took All Night, Lovelines, and If I Had You, the latter two being remixed, with Phil’s permission, by Robert De La Garza and me. I also replaced the original bass player on If I Had You with Joe Osborn. Where Do I Go From Here, Slow Dance, and Honolulu City Lights are from 1978. You’re The One is from the 1977 “Passage” sessions, but was too much in the same vein as I Just Fall In Love Again to make the album. Little Girl Blue and When I Fall In Love were recorded for our third ABC TV Special. The Uninvited Guest and Kiss Me The Way You Did Last Night are from the 1980 “Made In America” outtakes.
